I am happy to say I have made it through the first week at my new job. I am learning so much that is hurts my head. Much of it is review from college but remembering is key. The company is well structured which I was in need of from a job.
This weekend my brother, Travis, came to visit. We entertained him with a cocktail from Red Dragon and opened this eyes to Nye’s Polonaise a great piano/polka bar in Minneapolis. Good times were had by all. We are on our way to Como Zoo & Conservatory in St. Paul. Will keep you posted….
Steph had her first day at work today. She was a little nervous, so I pinned the name tag on her shirt and sent her on the bus. I was so proud to she her go.
I went to France44 for lunch and saw my sister. Then I ran and got some firewood from Brad to surprise Steph with. She had been wanting to have a fire ever since we moved in.
I was getting ready to light the fire when she called and said she was on her way. I made her tacos for dinner, and we watched some TV and sat next to the fire. I should have taken a picture for you all to enjoy.
I’ll let her tell you how her first day went
So we are lounging tonight in our new place. Feels nice to be in MN again. I was able to see a good friend today, Emily. I do miss my close friends from Milwaukee Charlie, Kileigh, Rob and my bro, Trav. Please come visit soon!
This last Sunday we arrived in Minneapolis. As of today I would consider us very settled. The house is cozy, and a bit smaller then our last apartment. I am really starting to enjoy the new place.
We loaded up the uHaul on Saturday with the help of our good friends Rob, Charlie, & Ray. We started loading at 10am, and finished by 2pm. Rob and I went and got the auto transport and loaded the Aurca on it. We were set to drive the next morning.
Sunday Steph and I work up early, and loaded the last few items into the cars. Steph stayed behind, and gave me an hour head start with the uHaul and car in tow. It only took me 6 hours to make the 350 mile trip. She caught up right at the end and arrived maybe 10 minutes behind me.Steph’s friends Mike, my sister Jocelyn, and my friend Blair met us to help us unload our stuff. The apartment quickly filled up. Benson arrived with some beer, pizza was ordered and our first break was had.
Thanks to everyone that helped. Thanks to everyone that stopped by and said goodbye. We will miss you while you are in Milwaukee. Maybe you can come join us up here soon.
